Kicking & Screening Exhibition
My work will be featured at the above mentioned exhibition in New York this June. I was allowed to submit one piece and I wanted to go with something specifically ‘New York’. I am very interested in the way the Cosmos took over the city for a few years in the 70’s and I wanted to produce something that their marketing team might have made to attract new soccer fans.

Pythagoras in Boots
I studied product design in college and Dutch design has always interested me. I hadn’t dedicated a detailed illustration to Johan Cruyff yet and It occurred to me that one of the the most famous Dutch products is the ‘Cruyff Turn’ which would in turn make Cruyff a designer himself. If I could infuse a print of him with some Dutch design principles this observation could come full circle. The Dutch have the ability to make fun of themselves and their work has a way of combining things that usually don’t combine at all. So here I tried to illustrate this by visually incorporating his nickname, Pythagoras in Boots, into his playing style.

BUNDESLIGA DOUBLE

Ahead of the all German Champions League Final, I have made an exclusive piece of artwork for each team. One plays off Bayern’s nickname ‘FC Hollywood’ while the other exalts the unbelievable support of Dortmund. I hope you enjoy them! :)
